PNWMLA is looking for volunteers to serve on the Nominating Committee for this year’s chapter elections. The Nominating Committee compiles a slate of candidates for the next election, which will be at the 2019 annual meeting. One member will be designated as committee Chair. This year’s election will include the position of Vice Chair/Chair Elect.
Current chapter members who are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee should contact PNWMLA chair Hollis Near, at email@example.com. It’s an important part of chapter business, and a good way for members to expand their professional service experience.
Congratulations to Ann Shaffer of University of Oregon who will become our Vice Chair/Chair-Elect! Bill Blair will continue in his role as Secretary/Treasurer of PNWMLA. Our 2014 meeting will take place in Vancouver, B.C. Stay tuned for details!
This is your notification that it is time to vote on the revisions to our Chapter Constitution that were presented at the Chapter Business Meeting held at Reed College on Saturday, May 5, 2012, and subsequently posted on the Chapter Website. As the revisions are mostly “housekeeping” in nature and scattered throughout, we will be voting on the package as a whole rather than on individual changes. You may view the revisions again on the Chapter Website.
At the Business Meeting we agreed that members would be notified when the ballot has been posted on the website and that the method of voting would be for each member to print his or her own ballot and mail it to the Secretary-Treasurer. Only members whose Chapter dues are current are eligible to vote (fill out our membership form to renew your membership).

The Chapter Constitution showing proposed revisions, including those suggested at the Chapter Meeting, has now been posted on the Chapter website.
If you would like to propose any additional revisions, please send them to the Chapter listserv as soon as possible.
Voting will take place not less than thirty days after today’s date, and you will be notified when the ballot has been posted on the website. At the Chapter Meeting we agreed that the method for voting on these changes would be for each member to print his or her own ballot and send it to the Secretary-Treasurer.
